Jennifer Dennison is a forty two year old woman from Florida who has a blackjack gambling problem. The problem became so severe that she stole over $500,000 from her in-laws to fund her gambling habit and managed to win over $13 million dollars to then lose it all. Dennison played blackjack at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Florida and over a two year period she was able to earn over $13 million. Dennison was eventually investigated and her in-laws found that she had stolen the money. They found out when one of their checks bounced and her father in law stated that their daughter in law ‘stripped us clean’ and he didn’t think that something like this would happen.
The elderly couple had placed their son as power of attorney but it was his wife Jennifer that controlled their finances. She has now been arrested and has been charged with grand larceny. Investigators found that Jennifer had forged her father-in-laws name on checks and took all of their money from five different retirement accounts. She also cashed in his life insurance police which was worth almost $40,000.
Jennifer went on a gambling spree and managed to win over $13 million but soon she would find herself in the hole for $700,000. She gambled the money away at the blackjack tables in a two year period and now she faces jail time as well as the loss of her family.
