Gamblers have been known to sit at the card table for a long while, many times for hours on end. Sometimes when a gambler hits a good streak of luck they will continue playing no matter what the cost. One gambler recently took her streak of good luck a little too far. According to a story at Blackjack Champ, a woman was visiting a well known Las Vegas casino and was really playing well at the blackjack tables. While the woman was enjoying her lucky streak a manager was called to the section she was playing in due to a strong odor. The odor had gotten so strong that it was bothering patrons at the gaming tables.
The manager eventually found that the odor was coming from a middle age woman was who dressed quite well and one would not think the odor was coming from such a person. After investigating the matter, the manager found out that the woman had been playing blackjack for about fifteen hours and she was on a lucky streak.
The woman said that was very superstitious so much so that she was afraid to leave her seat. The woman did not stop playing to go to the restroom though she should have. She had been sitting so long that she was unable to hold in what normally would be disposed of at the bathroom. This is why the stench was so strong.
The manager went on to say this is not the first time he has dealt with a similar. This instance just goes to show how gambling can go from fun and excitement to extreme addiction. One must always use common sense when gambling and make sure that the game does not take hold and cause them to make unusual or rash decisions.
