South Florida’s pari-mutuels will now be able to provide players with virtual blackjack games thanks to a recent ruling by state officials. State officials recently approved the addition of the virtual blackjack games to the area. The pari-mutuels will now have the new machines installed after officials approved them last week. Players will be able to compete individually against the dealer and work off the random number generator. This aspect of the machine makes them slot machines on a technical basis, which were approved by Broward and Miami-Dade voters.
The pari-mutuels have not seen very good gambling revenues since opening three years ago and they have wanted to add new gaming options especially since the Seminole Tribe is trying to be the exclusive operator of blackjack and other live table games.
The addition of the virtual blackjack games should help the pari-mutuels increase the revenue that has been lacking sine the games will draw in more players.
