It is never a good idea for a casino patron to be disrespectful but many times players are. Sometimes they drink too much or get mad because they lose a good bit of money. And many times a player will take their behavior a bit too far. Recently at a Seminole Casino Immokalee a player went overboard and was charged with several charges for his acts toward a blackjack dealer. Alan C. Bates was arrested this past Wednesday when he visited the casino. Bates reportedly made many advances toward the blackjack dealer who was a female. He even went so far as to grab her hand on two separate occasions. Security was eventually called and Bates swore at them as well as raised his voice. When police arrived on the scene Bates continued his behavior resisting arrest and continued to swear at the officers as well.
Bates was charged with battery as well as disorderly intoxication after his arrest. He also was served charges for resisting a law enforcement officer without violence. These are all major charges that could have been avoided if Bates had kept his temper as well as stayed away from the alcohol.
Dealers suffer some type of abuse most everyday as they have to deal with the public face to face. Most times the players will be intoxicated and not in their right mind. The nicest person may say or do something they wouldn’t normally do when they are under the influence. So respect your blackjack and other table game dealers and everyone will be able to have a good time at the card table.
