Last year, when George Bush signed the Safe Port Act and the included gambling bill, we saw a brutal end to many major poker and gambling portals that used to operate in the United States. Next year's presidential hopefuls have expressed different views on the internet and how much freedom they want to grant for it. But no candidate has sent out a message as strong as Ron Paul.At yesterday's presidential election debate hosted on CNN, candidates expressed their views on many topics, such as their stance on the war, immigration and more. Unfortunately, no one was asked anything about the recent changes in the gambling industry, but prior to the debate, Ron Paul was quoted by the Poker Players Alliance (PPA).
According to the poker organization, Ron Paul stands for complete net neutrality and agreed with the representatives that poker, Blackjack and any other casino game should be freely distributed over the internet. Dr. Paul is the first of the presidential candidates to acknowledge the gambling prohibition, but there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel coming from democratic candidates as well. Earlier this year, Edwards expressed similar views on net neutrality.
