Over the past few months there have been a rash of robberies taking place at casinos and gambling establishments all across the United States. Criminals are becoming very brazen, trying to steal cash in the day light and all other hours of the day. The latest news on a recent attack was just released out of Pennsylvania where a blackjack table was robbed of cash. The SugarHouse was visited by a man on April 8th and the man decided to play a little blackjack. He sat down at the center seat of the table and after a while the dealer laid out $500 in cash in five columns of $20 bills. The man decided he wanted the cash for himself so he did something very rash.
The unidentified man stretched his arms out wide and then in one quick gesture he gathered all the bills toward him and clutched the cash tight to his chest. The then ran from the casino to try and get out before he was stopped by security or police.
A state trooper released a public information report which read that no one tried to stop the suspect because no one knew what they should do. The thief was able to get out of the casino and escape on foot or in another mode of transportation. The thief is still at large and police are doing all they can to try and catch the criminal.
This is not the first time the SugarHouse has been in the news for a robbery or scheme. Just last month the casino was in the news when two dealers where helping three players cheat at blackjack. The dealers were letting one of the people see their hole card so he could then signal the other players to bet or stand.
