The Palms Casino in Las Vegas recently launched a new application for mobile devices that allows players to enjoy a game of blackjack. The new application is available on iPhone, iPad and iPod and it uses the same elements as fantasy football to make a unique blackjack experience. The Palms worked with Sevryn Mobile to create the free application. The object of the game is to win the most money from other players in your league. The player in the league with the most cash will be named the overall winner.
Jason Gastwirth the chief marketing officer for the Palms commented: “While most blackjack app games are one-dimensional and played along, we created a socially interactive experience around a casino game.” Social gaming is becoming very popular as such social sites as Facebook have taken over the internet. People want to stay connected with their friends as much as possible and this is just another way of doing so.
During the game players can become a commissioner and invite their friends to play the game with them by sending an email or Facebook invite. Players can compete in a league for ninety days and try to outdo their friends in blackjack play. During the game the dealer will set the table rules like how many decks are used and the minimum and maximum amount of the bet.
This new application is sure to become popular as players will be able to connect with their friends via their mobile devices and try to be the best blackjack player. And who doesn’t want to be the number one player amongst their friends?
