Nevada lawmakers are currently considering passing a new bill which would allow hotels to offer real money gambling games on mobile devices. Hotel guests would be able to use a mobile device to play the games in the public areas of certain hotels. If the bill is passed, then guests of the hotel will be given a mobile device upon check in at Las Vegas and Reno hotels. The mobile device could be used by guests at the hotel to gamble on several different casino games in all public areas of the hotel. However the casino floor will be off limits to the mobile betting.
The mobile devices will use specific mobile casino software to allow players to play the casino games and it will also have a GPS unit attached so it will only work in the public areas that have been designated by the hotel or casino.
The following would be public areas available to the mobile betting device: bars, restaurants, attractions, swimming pools, shopping areas, sporting events and entertainment shows. The mobile application would also have a comp system attached so players can still earn comp points. This is a great feature as many gamblers want to be able to earn the rewards by the comp system.
This way, players can try out the new mobile system and still be able to earn the comp points like they would if they were playing in the land casino. The games included in the mobile offering will include standard table games like baccarat, blackjack, keno, roulette, slots and wagering on sports events.
