MOTO develops multi-touch blackjack table

Land casinos could soon be introducing a new blackjack table that has a multi-touch function. MOTO is a company that specializes in multi-touch sensing equipment and machines that can be controlled by using hand gestures. MOTO recently created a new kind of blackjack table.

The new tables use virtual cards and chips which eliminates the need to set up, deal and clear decks. This new version allows for easier and quicker game play for casino patrons. The new tables use resistive touch by MOTO. The cards are dealt face down and a player must hold their hand over the card to see the card. A cupped hand can be used to other players will not see the cards.

Dealing during the game can be done automatically or a dealer can carry out the gesture, this option will result in the cards sliding across the table. The new game is currently a prototype and MOTO wants to add the new game to casinos. The company is also looking into creating similar options with other casino games.
