Las Vegas based MGM Mirage, the world's second largest gambling company, is scheduled to open its first casino in Macau on December 18, 2007. MGM Grand Macau will be one of the largest and most exclusive casinos in all of Macau with over 600 rooms, super exclusive suites and villas for the riches.A total of 375 gambling tables are stationed at the bottom floor. Add to that a few hundred slot machines, exclusive restaurants with French chefs and whatnot. The company reportedly paid $1.25 billion for this astounding project, which is comparable to Bellagio's $1.6 billion.
MGM Mirage is in talks with the Macau authorities with another project in the scope, which will be located on the Cotai Strip.
