Known as ‘Robin Hood’, a high stakes blackjack player uses his skills to win money to get a family out of debt. The player decided one year ago to use his skills in the way and now ‘Robin Hood’ is back to do it again. The anonymous gambler stated that he is looking for anyone that is in debt and needs some help. During the New Year, the gambler will be working to raise money for a family in need. ‘Robin Hood’ said he is looking for someone’s story to really touch him and that is who he will choose.
Last year the gambler asked for families to send submissions to his website. Thousands of requests came from everywhere from people who were in real trouble. The people chosen last year were a couple from Detroit with a young child. The couple’s daughter had fought brain cancer and this had put them $35,000 in debt.
The anonymous gambler brought the family to Las Vegas and placed them in a nice suite, took them to shows as well as giving them spa treatments and special meals. The gambler was able to win money for the couple and they went home with $35,000 to help them with their bills.
‘Robin Hood’ is ready to help another family. He commented: “I’m going to look for the story that’s really going to touch my heart. I have gone through a rough year myself, through personal tragedies in my family and financial difficulties, so I know what it’s like. But you know what? I’m still here and I still want to help a family, period. Nothing is ever easy for anyone, and I know that full well.”
The gambler says he does this for people to make his mother proud. He promises the family he helps at least half of the money they need, in case he loses, but he will give them the full amount if he wins.
