The Chips Casino & Lounge is located in Bismarck, North Dakota, and newspapers are reporting that the casino had a large fight break out. Just last weekend, around fifteen people took part in a fist fight which erupted at the blackjack tables. Three men in their mid twenties were sitting at the blackjack tables at the casino when one of the men lit up a cigarette. The man was quite drunk and the female manager approached the table and stated he had to put the cigarette out due to a smoking prohibition. The man refused and told the manager she could call the police.
The blackjack dealer then tried to take matters into his own hands and pushed the man’s chips towards him and told him to cash out. The suspect than threw the chips at the dealer and then attacked. He jumped across the table and tried to grab chips from the chip rack and the dealer tried to stop him which caused chips to go flying everywhere.
It was at that point that a fight broke out and chaos ensued. Beer bottles were thrown and tables were destroyed. When police arrived they found the casino a wreck and eyewitnesses stated that about fifteen people were involved in the fight. People supposedly began throwing chairs at each other and this is when someone decided to call 911.
The blackjack fight ended up causing around $1,000 in damage and a small amount of poker chips were stolen in the process. Two of the employees of the casino were injured as they complained of being punched in the face. Two other employees stated they were injured as well but they did not seek medical treatment at the hospital. No arrests have been made and the case has moved to the city attorney.
