The Golden Nugget Casino is a popular land casino that recently announced they have launched a new Facebook game. Facebook is a popular online social network and the new casino game should do very well. The casino teamed up with Last Legion Games, a technology and software company, to create the new game. The beta version of the game started back in July and the interactive store for the game launched on August 5th. The Golden Nugget is planning on launching a new contest for the game in the near future as well.
Players will find that the new game lets them create their own casino which will include blackjack, roulette and video poker games. Players will earn virtual money and they can use the money to furnish their casino by purchasing items from the new store. Players can also purchase table games as well as avatar clothing and slot games.
Players can then visit their Facebook friend’s casinos to see what they have been up to. The CEO of Last Legion Seth Gerson commented: “Marketers have the ability to reach millions of people via social networks like Facebook. Facebook (alone) has 500 million users, and about half of them play games. of those, they generally play four games a month. Also, these are marketing campaigns that give the marketer the opportunity to make money. That is a really powerful combination.”
