Jerome Bettis is a famous NFL player who has retired from the sport. Bettis has decided to use his fame to host a special blackjack tournament to raise money for charity. The first every Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Celebrity Blackjack Tournament will take place on November 18th and 19th at the Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Pennsylvania. The tournament will start out with a meet and greet with celebrities and will be followed by a silent auction and the tournament. Several other celebrities from the sports world will be competing in the tournament alongside Bettis including: Franco Harris, Bill Mazeroski, Carl Eller, John Randle, Chuck Foreman, Chris Doleman and Ickey Woods.
Sean Sullivan the vice president and general manager of the Meadows casino commented on the upcoming tournament by stating: “We’re proud to welcome Jerome Bettis to The Meadows and are looking forward to the exciting competitive play. This promises to be a great event with a who’s who of sports legends and big prizes, half of which will benefit the Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation. The tournament has a buy-in of $300 and this includes a seat in the blackjack tournament as well as access to the celebrity meet and greet.
