Three men from San Francisco, California were arrested recently for supposedly cheating the Delaware Park Casino at the blackjack tables. The three men, Jiehui Huang, Raymond Li and Huan Quan Yu, have all been charged with cheating at the blackjack table as they supposedly worked together to mark the cards as well as count the cards during blackjack games. It took the Delaware State Police about a week to investigate the matter. The security at the casino contacted the police after they saw the men acting suspicious. According to police, Haung was using a gaming chip that would make marks, indentions, on the cards that had values of ten. Yu and Li then supposedly would use the knowledge of the marked cards to be able to place wagers.
The three men were caught before they were able to cash in their chips, so the casino was never out of any money. Police also searched Yu’s vehicle after he was arrested and they found evidence that the men were doing the same scam at other casinos across the United States.
Police also stated they think the men are part of a larger team that is based in New York City and San Francisco. The team has sent members to casinos all across the US to try and scam money from the casinos.
All three men were charged with conspiracy, criminal mischief, attempted thief and altering a table game component. Both Li and Haung were arraigned and released on unsecured bonds while Yu posted his bail but was sent to prison as he has other charges pending.
