The Seminole Coconut Creek mobile job bus was in Boca Raton yesterday morning to try and recruit blackjack dealers and other positions for the new expansion at the casino. Casino officials were hoping people would be lining up to hop on the bus to try and get a job at the casino however that was not the case. The forty three foot recreational vehicle was in the Town Center parking lot yesterday afternoon to interview people and take them to the casino. Only a handful of people got on the bus to try and gain employment at the casino.
The Coconut Creek casino is hiring eight hundred people to work at the casino for the $150 million expansion. Steve Bonner the general manager of the Seminole Casino said that he was not disappointed in the mobile turnout despite the small numbers.
In the past, the mobile unit has seen great turnouts and this was just a bump in the road. At other showings at other malls, the mobile unit has brought in thirty to forty people and Bonner said the system seems to be paying off.
The bus was designed with the logo ‘Find the Fun You’ and is used to attract potential employees who want a different working experience. The casino plans on continuing the mobile job fairs for the remainder of the month and there are still around two hundred jobs available from blackjack dealer positions to bartenders, cooks, hostesses, serves, cocktail servers and much more.
