Bookmaker.com, one of the world's largest online sports books, announced the opening of its first Blackjack tournament. Blackjack Bowl will feature a live tournament network and offer $10,000 in prizes, which of course is an addition to the entry fee, which will be split by the winners.Ed D'Lyne, casino manager at Bookmaker.com, expressed great excitement over the first launch of its Blackjack tournament. He went on saying, "...not only is it a great opportunity for us to showcase our new and exciting Blackjack Tournament game to our customers, but it's an opportunity for them to compete in a progressive style of blackjack tournament for no small sum of money. At the end of the season we're going to name one champion, and that champion is going to have a wad of cash in his pocket. After all, that's why they are playing."
The Blackjack tournaments will start on October 2nd and continue for five months. At the end of the month, a $1,000 clash price is awarded on top of the entry fees. The grand Bookmaker Bowl finale is scheduled in March 2008, featuring the grand price of $10,000. In addition, the top six players of each month are granted a spot to the final event.
