Don Johnson has now become a well known name in the gambling industry after he earned millions of dollars playing blackjack at several casinos. On one of his illustrious gaming nights, Johnson took $6 million from the blackjack tables at the Tropicana in Atlantic City and he is now ready to hit the same tables yet again! Johnson has been partying it up after winning millions from some of the largest casinos in the United States. He has spent tens of thousands on nights out on the town including a heavy partying night in New York just a few weeks ago. Johnson has now been in talks with Carl Icahn the owner of the Tropicana and they have worked out a deal that they both approve of.
Johnson will be heading back to the casino to host a charity blackjack tournament on September 2nd. Icahn wants Johnson to host the tournament because his name alone should bring in many people to participate. Johnson commented that he likes Carl and that he thinks that Carl is taking the right approach to the situation.
Johnson won a total of $15 million from Atlantic City casinos in a five month period and now has a blanket ban on him at Caesars Palace. The Tropicana is not paying Johnson to host the blackjack tournament in September but they are offering to let him play in the tournament. They are also going to donate $10,000 to the Jon Bon Jovi JBJ Soul Foundation in his honor.
It will be interesting to see how well Johnson does in the blackjack tournament. Will his prowess of the game help him win the tournament or was the five month winning streak just a bit of good luck?
