The World's Greatest Blackjack Book

The World’s Greatest Blackjack Book by Humble and Cooper is a good resource and information book for players who want an advantage when playing blackjack. The book is your basic blackjack card counting instruction manual with added information. The book covers all the basics of blackjack and how it can be beaten by card counting. It teaches you how to begin using a card counter in situations from casinos to private games.

The first section of the book covers the basic fundamentals of blackjack. It will teach you how to play the game and the values for cards for example: Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth ten points while Aces are worth one or eleven points whichever fits your need. The object of the game is to reach a twenty-one total. The book also teaches you the rules of the game so a player understands fully how to play.

The next section gives information on how a card counter can beat the game of blackjack. It teaches you how to use a card counting method and extra information on how to successfully carryout and execute the method. The book will explain how to choose which casino to play in to suit your card counting skills. Dealer interaction is also discussed. Learning how to deal with the dealer is also very important in card counting.

After basic strategy ha been discussed the book moves on the more advanced topics. Learning how to read a dealer is examined as well as how to talk to apt boss and how to make a quick exit. All of which are very important to a player who is counting cards.

The best method that the book says to use is the Hi-Opt 1 counting system. It is a level one counting system where Aces are neutral. This method reduces a player’s usage of a betting strategy and increases playing strategy. It is best used during single deck games where betting strategy is important.

After the advanced section, the book continues on to discuss private games. A private game would consist of any blackjack game would consist of any blackjack game played outside of a casino. The book goes on to five extra tips on blackjack, how to choose games, playing multiple hands and how to develop an act to conceal your card counting.

Some people in the gambling community have claimed that the book has a few flaws. It has been discussed that the book describes strong dealer cheating when some in the gambling community do not believe dealer cheating is prevalent. Some also believe that the Hi-Opt 1 counting strategy discussed in the book can only be used for single deck games and nothing else such as in the game of shoes where the book discusses it is the best overall method. One thing is certain: Blackjack players will have to read the book for themselves and decide if they think the method would work best for them.
